Results of Amersham Health Centre
Patient Survey
On Tuesday 29 October 2024, patients of Amersham Health Centre attended a meeting which focused on the results of the patient survey undertaken by the Patient Participation Group. We are pleased to share the presentation slides from this meeting.
Thank-you to everyone who participated in the Amersham Health Centre (AHC) annual patient survey. We received just over 700 completed responses and that provides a meaningful snapshot of how you feel about AHC.
We, the Friends of Amersham Health Centre, together with Dr Clare Gabe and Practice Manger, Meeta Jobanputra, have reviewed the results.
Overall, the results were very encouraging. The majority of patients rate their experience as good or excellent.
One of the key reasons we introduced AskFirst last year was to help us better allocate appointments based on medical need and the survey results highlight the progress we have achieved. Only 17.4% of patients were unsatisfied with the appointment time offered -a key challenge patients face nationally.
The results did show many patients struggle with the useability of AskFirst and accessing the surgery by phone. We continue to be focused on making improvements in these areas. Over the coming weeks, we will review your responses in detail and agree how best to respond -what changes might be appropriate.
Then in September/October, we plan to share with you what action is being taken and why. This will be shared via AHC website, newsletters, and by inviting you to a meeting to provide you the opportunity to ask questions.
